Post training camp haze
Well, the Texas Mafia training camp was a ton of fun. I just wish I hadn't gotten sick three days into it. Kept me off the bike for the rest of the week. The weather didn't necessarily cooperate again for training camp. Three heavy days of rain, and snow at the higher elevations, at least this time there were three good weather days. Hopefully next year.

This photo was taken the day after training camp ended. That's Figueroa Mtn. capped in snow in the background.

Did get to watch some sick racing at ADT center for UCI Track World Cup.

Mike Friedman during the qualifying Madison. That little thing under his saddle is a license plate the has Friedman's nick name - "Meatball."

Appropriately Colby Pierce's license plate is "Noodle."

Then, I'm finally feeling better the week after training camp and I go out for a lunch time ride Monday and get side swiped from behind by a car. The lady was trying to pass me as I was turning left - classic. The defense was, "I just didn't see you." I'm a rolling freak show. How it's possible to miss a 200lb gorilla on a bike dressed like Santa Claus (FasTrack kit)!!?
Lucky to be alive. I managed to get away with bruise, cuts, and abrasions and a couple of cracked ribs. It could have been so much worse. Now I need to get my broken bike bits replaced.
Fitness has suffered as a result of all the off time. CTL has dropped more than 10 points in two weeks.

Damn dude rough go of it. Looks like the track was a blast though. I'm still bummin that I missed that. Its kinda good that the accident happened at the beginning of the season cause now you got your crash of the year out of the way. Pictures of the bike? kit?
